I secured two rooms situated in the main building. The location proved convenient. despite external temperatures plummeting to -5 degrees with significant snowfall, closing one window proved challenging, and it was a little drafty. the overall stay was good. the staff were amicable, and breakfast was decent, despite the absence of a cooked option and rooms were of a reasonable size.
the window issue was a minor inconvenience, especially given the weather! it would be good to have that addressed.

the room had two single beds! it also provided a machine for coffee in the morning, very handy. there was an armchair, so i could watch the church from my room.

The front desk staff were particularly kind and helpful, especially assisting with planning my activities and routes. I very much appreciated their local insight. hot beverages such as coffee, tea, and cocoa were available in the reception area at all times.

The accommodation boasts an excellent location in the city center. Shopping, local attractions, bars, and dining establishments are all easily accessible by foot. the hotel is located opposite hallgrímskirkja, thus, you really cannot get lost.

The breakfast had an excellent buffet. It included a coffee machine offering beverages all day. they even arranged a packed breakfast for my early departure before the regular breakfast service. I found this thoughtful.

small bathroomshower curtain
the room felt quite cramped.. space was definitely at a premium, and maneuvering around with luggage was a challenge. the bathroom was also very small. the shower curtain stuck to me. this made showering uncomfortable. additionally, the lack of proper ventilation.
